Objective: Create a contemplative and satisfying video tribute to Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli, featuring the beloved character Totoro sleeping.

Approach: Developed an animation depicting Totoro peacefully sleeping under a cozy mushroom while it rains. The warm mushroom emits smoke, adding to the tranquil scene. This animation was crafted using procedural techniques in Houdini and rendered with RedShift3D.

Roles: Led the project as the Creative Director and Art Director. Oversaw the motion design process and handled deep compositing using Fusion 7 to achieve a high level of visual depth and realism.

Deliverables: Produced a single video that combines the serene visuals with a calming soundtrack featuring Eva Auner’s Kalimba cover, expertly mixed by Nicolas Gigandet.
