Leaf 6a is a speculative project exploring how everyday technology can quietly contribute to a more sustainable future. Set within dense, fast-paced urban environments, the project imagines an eco-responsible smartphone designed to respect every stage of its creation, from materials to people. Through motion and visual storytelling, it proposes that even in high-stress city life, small, effortless choices can help reconnect technology and nature.
Human Insight
People care about nature, but in busy urban lives, intention rarely turns into action. Most don’t have time to go to nature; yet everyone carries a smartphone.
This project proposes that the act of ownership itself can become a small but meaningful contribution to sustainability.
Project Intent
Design a futuristic smartphone campaign communication that embodies eco-responsibility at every step of its life cycle, from materials and manufacturing to usage, making sustainability something you live with, not escape to.
Creative Challenge
Communicate environmental impact not in idyllic wilderness, but amidst the hustle of city life.
How do you give people a moment of connection with nature without asking them to slow down?
Strategic Direction
Anchor the narrative in the tension between urban stress and micro-action.
The device becomes a symbol of conscious choice: even in the middle of a crowded street, by using this phone you participate in a better future.
Creative Direction
The film opens on a sterile rock illuminated by harsh, industrial lighting. As the connection to the smartphone is made, nature begins to emerge. Organic elements grow, surfaces soften, and the lighting gradually shifts from cold and artificial to warm and natural, signaling a reconnection between technology and the living world.
The Highlight
A visual metaphor for sustainability that doesn’t require retreating from life, you carry it with you.
The piece reinforces that eco-responsibility can be woven into daily rhythm, not just weekend retreats.

Design & Concept
The visual direction plays on contrasts sharp industrial aesthetics transition into organic and fluid forms.
Initially, the smartphone exists in a stark, minimalistic environment, surrounded by floating cold rock formations and hard, artificial lighting.
As the narrative unfolds, the device embarks on a journey through nature, gradually absorbing its essence.
By the end, the once-harsh surroundings become organic, with softened lighting and textures reflecting a newfound symbiosis between technology and the environment.

RND
This project involved extensive experimentation with materials, lighting dynamics, and procedural simulations to craft a compelling transformation.
The integration of natural elements, from moss-covered surfaces to organic motion patterns, required a delicate balance to ensure realism while maintaining an artistic, cinematic feel.
Gobo lighting shifts from rigid industrial forms to soft, nature-inspired patterns, reinforcing the visual evolution.

Sound
Sound design plays a crucial role in emphasizing the transition.
As the smartphone moves through nature, organic sounds rustling leaves, flowing water, and soft wind—gradually take over.
By the end, the fusion of technology and nature is complete, represented through a harmonious blend of electronic and natural audio textures.
